In the midst of the chaos between coming back to Malaysia and being rejected by the Indian High Commision in Malaysia to volunteer in India, I found my way to Indonesia. Out of all destinations on Skyscanner, Jakarta Indonesia was only $39 dollars. There I was on the scary Lion Air flight thinking “What the hell am gonna do here?”
You guys know that I usually stay at hostel but I was in so much stress and confusion that I decided that I needed some privacy and space before making the huge decision about my route in Indonesia. I’ve heard about Tune Hotels but never actually got a change to try them. It’s in Indonesia that I finally got the chance to stay at Tune Hotel Pasar Baru.
The Tune Hotel Pasar Baru’s location is very strategic, just opposite the famous Pasar Baru shopping market and just about 20 minutes from the main train station, Stasiun Gambir. There is a big IndoMaret located just beside the Tune Hotel Pasar Baru and for those who feels adventurous can always dine at the pull-cart stores nearby the hotel.
Ass you all know, Tune Hotels offer a basic room with the option to add on aircond, wifi, tv and toiletries. I would say the basic room itself was sufficient enough for me, the AC was a bonus for the really humid and hot weather in Jakarta. The shower was good with hot and cold water option. The bed was comfortable and the pillow was dream inducing comfortable. I would say it’s value for money.
Definitely a good option for backpacker who needed some comfort and privacy. Look up for offers on Tune Hotels website, you can get great deals sometimes when they have their promotions! I’m gonna look for their promotion for my next Tune Hotel when I get to Solo later! 😀
Till then, travel safe! 😀
